We collect only what we need to fulfill orders and stay in touch: your name, email, shipping address, and order details. Payment card data is handled by Stripe — we never store full card numbers.
Contact messages are used only to reply to you. You can ask to be removed anytime at hello@cadencecreatures.com.
If you subscribe to Field Notes, our restock and workshop-update list, we'll ask you to confirm your email before sending anything. We only use it to let you know about new creatures and drops — nothing else. Unsubscribe anytime with the link in any Field Notes email, no need to contact us.
Who else handles your information. We're a two-person workshop, so a few trusted services do the parts we can't do ourselves. Each one gets only what that job needs:
- Stripe — payment. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store a full card number.
- Shippo and the carrier (usually USPS) — your shipping address, to buy the label and track the parcel.
- Resend — your email address, to send your order confirmation and shipping notice.
- Supabase — where the order record itself is stored.
- Discord — a private workshop alert when an order comes in, so it gets picked up quickly. It includes your email address and what you ordered.
- Vercel — hosting, and the page-view counts described below. It sees the ordinary request information any web host does.
- Google — only if you opt in on the confirmation page. Described under Review invitations below.
None of them are permitted to use your information for anything beyond the job we hired them for.
Retention: order records are kept for accounting and warranty support; contact messages are retained only as long as needed to resolve your request.
We don't sell personal information.
Analytics. We count page views through Vercel Web Analytics so we know which creatures people come to see. It is cookieless: no cookie is stored on your device, no identifier follows you to another site, and nothing there is tied to your name, your email, or an order. We see totals, not people.
Review invitations. After you order, the confirmation page asks whether Google may email you a short survey once your creature should have arrived. It is a question, and the answer is genuinely optional — nothing is sent unless you say yes.
If you do say yes, we pass Google your email address, your order number, the destination country, and the date we expect delivery, so it knows when to ask. Google then handles the survey and its own use of that information. If you say no, or ignore the prompt, none of it leaves the workshop. Whatever you choose, your rating is published without your name attached, and declining changes nothing about your order.
Separately, the store rating badge shown around the shop reads the overall score those surveys produce. It reports nothing about you and is not tied to your visit or your order.
